What Information Does URide Transportation Collect From Its Customers and How are the Data Used?

URide Transportation collects only the following types of personal and non-personal information that are necessary for our legitimate business purposes, and maintains appropriate safeguards to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of this information.

Personal and Business Information

URide Transportation collects contact and related information from our customers and prospective customers who request information or services from URide Transportation or who register for Software and Services.  Customers can opt out of providing this additional information by not entering it when asked.

All financial and billing information that we collect is used solely to check the qualifications of prospective customers and to bill for Software and Services. This billing information is not used by URide Transportation for marketing or promotional purposes.

URide Transportation uses the information that we collect for business purposes, including responding to requests for information about Software and Services, providing access to certain services, and for registration purposes.  We may also use the information to contact customers to further discuss customer interest in our company, our products and services, and to send information regarding our company or partners, such as promotions and events.

Customers will use our Software and the Website to host data and information relating to their business (“Data”). URide Transportation will not review, share, distribute, print, or reference any such Data except as provided in the URide Transportation Master Subscription Agreement, or as may be required by law.  Individual records may at times be viewed or accessed only for the purpose of resolving a problem, support issue, suspected violation of the Master Subscription Agreement, or as may be required by law.  Of course, customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their user registration and password. 

By submitting your information to us and by using the Software and Services or the Website, you are consenting to our use of your data as described herein.  If you do not consent, you should not register with URide Transportation, not use the Software and Services, and not use the Website.

Non-Personal Information

Certain non-personal information about site visits is recorded by the standard operation of the Internet servers on which this website is hosted.  Non-personally identifiable information (“Aggregate Data”) may be for our business purposes, including but not limited to improvement of the design and content of the WebSite or to personalize your experience on our Website.  This Aggregate Data may be shared with URide Transportation’s related entities, advertisers, partners and/or other third party vendors.  URide Transportation shall own such Aggregate Data.

Cookies

URide Transportation uses cookies on its Website to make your experience easy and meaningful and to enable certain technical operations. Cookies are files that Web browsers place on a computer’s hard drive and are used to tell us whether customers and visitors have previously visited our website.  Usage of a cookie is not linked to any personally identifiable information while on our Website.

Log Files

Like many standard website servers, our web servers use log files.  Log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp and number of clicks.  Log files are used to analyze trends, administer the site, track aggregated users’ movement and gather broad demographic information. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Is Information Shared With Third Parties?

URide Transportation does not sell, share, or distribute any private or personal information to any third parties.

We may however employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf.  Examples include registering users, processing credit card payments, sending postal mail and email, analyzing data, and providing customer service.  To perform these functions, these companies and individuals may have access to information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.

As we continue to develop our business, we might sell or buy assets. In such transactions, customer information may be transferred to: (i) a parent or subsidiary; (ii) an acquirer of assets; or (iii) a successor by merger.

We may also release information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law; enforce URide Transportation Master Subscription Agreement and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of URide Transportation, our users, or others.  This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection.

How Can I Access and Update My Customer Information?

Customers who have provided contact information may e-mail URide Transportation at support@trueimpact.com to update their contact or other information.

Customers may also update or change registration information by editing the Account and Privileges page of the Website or by contacting URide Transportation at support@trueimpact.com or 617-903-0210.

Security

We have security measures in place to help protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the data under our control. When the website is accessed using Internet Explorer version 11 or higher, or a comparable internet browser, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology protects information using both server authentication and data encryption to help ensure that the data are safe, secure, and available only to you.

Communications from URide Transportation

Users who have provided contact information may occasionally receive email updates or information from URide Transportation.  In order to respect our customers’ privacy, we present the option to decline these types of communications.  Please see the Choice/Opt-out section below.

Choice/Opt-Out

Users are given the opportunity to opt-out of having their information used for purposes not directly related to our Website or existing business relationship. Users who no longer wish to receive e-mail solicitations or other information from URide Transportation may opt-out of receiving these communications by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email communication. Payments

We accept payments through Stripe. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to Stripe, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.
